David Parnell

Meet David, the founder and lead editor of Trail and Summit. He’s not just an experienced writer, but also a proud husband to his high school sweetheart Kristen and a loving father to his two boys. David’s love for the great outdoors extends beyond just writing about it – he’s an ultramarathoner who’s already completed two 100 mile races and is currently training for his third.
When he’s not pushing his limits on the trails, David is a true online marketing nerd, having made a living in the field since 2000. Currently based in Boise, Idaho, David and his family are enjoying life in this beautiful city, tucked against the foothills that extend to the greater Bitterroot Rocky Mountains and countless miles of wilderness trails.
With this kind of backdrop it’s not difficult to balance work and play. Whether he’s spending time with his family, running ultramarathons, or blogging about his outdoor adventures, David is always on the go, always striving for more.
